Meeting Ruth Peacey

Meeting Ruth Peacey for the first time was a fantastic opportunity, thanks to one of my Lecturers, Dr Mark Adams! Ruth is a Producer and Director, and she is absolutely fascinating. She really did hold my attention throughout her talk, as she was so interesting. Despite my vast marine experience, I have never met anyone who has filmed a documentary via a boat! I'd love to chat with her about my love for the island of Alderney as I'm planning my own documentary there soon.

I've crossed the English Channel around 10 times in small Ridged Inflatable Boats (RIBs) and it's such a great experience. The island of Alderney holds many secrets, especially as it was occupied by Germany during WW2, and many of the fortifications still stand today.

I can't wait to see more of Ruth's films, and I wish her the very best.
